Snow days - The pros and cons
Roight. Because of a snow day today, school is cancelled. Major-ass woot, seeing as I had a physics lab to hand in, and I haven't even started yet >_>
The pro of a snow day? Obvious. You get to miss school, and spend the day doing whatever you want, be that shopping at the mall, playing Heretic and Quake on the computer, browsing fchan on your PSP (*points at Zyph*), etc.
The cons, however, are more numerous. A minor gripe: when you get back to school, you get double the work to make up for the lost day. A major-as-all-purple-fuck gripe: you may not know it, but you're allowed to lose X number of days on the school calendar. After that many days are lost, you make up for the rest of them in summer. Here in my school board in Soviet Canuckistan, we're allowed to lose four school days. This one's number three. *frightened*
