Summary: Yunho comes home one night to find that Jaejoong had known the truth all along. (my summaries suck ass, I swear)

It was a cold rainy day, and as the clock struck six in the evening, Jaejoong began to anticipate the return of his best friend, and also long-time lover of five eventful years. He sat up on the sofa, posture tense and body fidgeting continuously as his eyes snapped to the door every now and then, waiting for a particular tall figure to walk through the door. And just as the current time landed on four past six, the sound of the doorbell being rung resounded throughout the silent air of the sunset.

On instinct, Jaejoong's body jumped up from his position before his legs carried him towards the door. Putting on his best smile, the raven opened the door and cheerfully greeted, 'Welcome home, Yunnie-ah!'

Upon the lively greeting, the younger man couldn't help but smile, his hand coming up to ruffle the soft tresses of the other, marveling at how smooth they felt in contrast to his own calloused fingers. Leaning down to place a chaste kiss on Jaejoong's forehead, he mumbled, 'It's good to be home, Jaejoongie' against the flawless white skin before pulling away and stepping into the house, closing the door behind him. He placed his brief case on the sofa, before his arms come to wound around the smaller man. 'So, how was my baby boo while I was away?'

Jaejoong giggled. 'Bored without you,' he said, nuzzling his crooked nose against the other's sharp one.

'Hmmm... I guess that makes both of us then,' Yunho replied, grinning cheekily.

Upon the answer, Jaejoong's breath hitched. Unintentionally, he let the words that fleeted in his mind to slip from his pink, parted lips. 'Didn't have fun with Seulgi?' he muttered, before his eyes widened and his hands came up to cover his mouth, horror dawning upon him when his brain managed to register what he just said. He felt Yunho tense around him, and he couldn't help but chant in his head about how stupid he was.

Yunho didn't bother concealing the truth. 'How long did you know?' he asked monotonously, arms loosening their hold around the other's skinny torso.

Jaejoong whimpered. 'T-two years.'

The taller man cleared his throat. Seulgi and him had begun the affair three years ago, when he suddenly decided that he preferred mature and sophisticated women to over-emotional, weak and not to mention inexperienced and nightmare-prone guys. He had always wanted to break the news to Jaejoong, but found himself unable to whenever he saw how weak and frail Jaejoong seemed to be, even with him around. And he didn't have a single doubt that the black-haired boy would do something crazy if they were to break up.

Yunho kept his voice even. 'Why didn't you tell me that you knew?'

Tears welled up in Jaejoong's eyes as he planned his answer in his head. 'I-I don't want you to leave me.' His voice was barely above a whisper. 'If I told you, then you would leave me right away, and I don't want that. I don't want to let you go. I wanna stay with you forever,' his voice quavered as his trembling hands came up to weakly clutch onto Yunho's shirt. The tears saturated in his eyes, obscuring his vision. He tried to blink them back, but they merely ended up rolling down his flushed cheeks. And despite his efforts in trying to hold back his sobs, small whimpers and sniffs still managed to escape.

The older's answer had been brief, but Yunho understood. He had always thought that he was careful all this while, when in fact, Jaejoong had known all along. The new information sent him to shame. A piece of memory flashed in his mind.

Yunnie?

Nae?

Promise... promise you would be with Jaejoongie forever?

I will, I promise. And with that, Yunho pressed his heart-shaped lips against the plump flower petals of the seventeen-year-old boy.

'You won't leave me right?'

Yunho snapped out of his reverie when his ears took in the shaky, melodious voice of his lover. He looked down, only to feel his heart clench in sadness when he caught sight of the fear and desperation in the black, tearful orbs of the other. 'I...'

'You promised!' Jaejoong cracked, and he heard the cries and sobs that started to sound from his own plump lips. 'You promise... you promise that you would never leave me!'

'Jaejoong, I...'

'You promised! You promised you promised you promised!' Jaejoong started to land blows and punches on Yunho's chest as he wailed and cried and sobbed whywhywhy. The punches didn't hurt. But instead, it was the broken doll that Jaejoong had come to be that crushed his soul. Yunho had been the one to court Jaejoong, to confess first. He had vowed his love and faith to only the raven, and no one else. He knew that the other had trust issues, yet he was the one that broke his promise.

And as Jaejoong continued his assault on Yunho, the latter merely wrapped his strong arms around the other, kissing his head and stroking his back in soothing circles as he whispered words of solace and love. And as minutes passed, fatigue began to overwhelm the smaller man, before he slowly leaned his exhausted body against the warmth of his lover, his last words being 'don't leave me...' as his eyelids closed over his bloodshot orbs, arms wounding themselves around the other's neck.

And as Yunho stood there singing soothing lullabies to appease his lover's sleeping form, he found himself trying to run away and hide from the regret and shame that slowly crept up to his heart.

'Mianhe, saranghae...'
