'Yeah, well you could've fooled me.' Giving his brother a small glare, with not a lot of heat behind it, he relaxed into the bedding, taking comfort from the feel of his brother pressed against him. He knew somewhere in the back of his head that this probably wasn't the best idea, for him, or his old fantasies, but it'd been so long since he'd even been in the same zipcode as his brother, and he hadn't realized how much he'd missed him since he left. It was like the whole time he'd been at Stanford he'd been missing a limb, and suddenly it was reattached and he could fully function again. 'Figures Dad wouldn't answer. Never there when you need him, is he.' Sam let out a humorless laugh, crossing his arms loosely around his waist as he imagined their father's face after hearing about Dean getting hurt. He'd probably give him a few days to recuperate and then force Dean out on another hunt with no chance to rest. Hell, he probably wouldn't even care that Dean had gotten hurt, just say he messed up and then tell him fifty different ways how he could do it better. It was one of the main reasons Sam had tried so hard to research on the hunts he'd been involved in, wanting Dean to be completely, and totally prepared for whatever might happen, lessening the brunt of their father's wrath
