I met him at a poker game in Portage one night and everything just sparked. His name is Derrick Hill, he's 20 and from Vinton. My mom was talking to Randy his step dad the same night (since they play cards too) and told him that we were going to get together. I was kinda embarrassed to say the least haha.
After that, I worked in Portage one Saturday night and he and his best bud came down just to play some pool and stayed with me till 3:30am because I didn't trust two guys that were there. Through the night we got to know each other and exchanged cell phone numbers. I knew of him because of when I worked at the store, and knew my face from the store but heard of me when everything crashed and burned with Josh and I.
A few nights later he asked me if I wanted to go to Renfrew with him for coffee, of course I said YES! We ended up driving around talking for SEVEN HOURS! It went by so fast and it was so comfortable. We talked about everything from out past jobs, to past relationships, to what we would do if we could take over the world haha. We were attached to each other like glue since then, but not because we don't trust each other, but for the fact that we just really like being around each other. I'm not sure if this is because we just started dating or what but I wouldn't change it for anything.
He treat's me so well it's crazy! When he says he's going to be somewhere, he's there. When he says he's not going to drink but let me have a good party time and drive home, he does that. He's not jealous, or rude to any of my guy friends. If he doesn't know them he introduces himself as "Derrick", not "her boy friend". Derrick isn't a big money spender since he's unemployed right now, but his mom told me that he never was a big spender. Sure he has a really decked out Cavalier, but he bought it that way. He didn't borrow money to make it that way.
I'm just on a whirl wind right now haha. I haven't been this happy in so long it it's so...what's the word...AWESOME! My parents love him, and his parents really like me. They said that it's great that Derrick finally found a girl who has a head on her shoulders haha. His mom is helping me get my resume together so I can get off EI asap and get me working again in my field. It's just so great! Hehe! :D
Well I gotta run to see if my EI is in...it better be haha, sorry for writing so much haha!
