ARGH!
I woke up tonight about a half hour or an hour ago, I forget which. Anyway, it was dark and cold outside and too late to get a package from the office, but I wanted to know if there was one waiting for me or not (when there is, they leave a note in the mailbox for you), even if I couldn't get it till tomorrow. I said aloud to myself, as I was turning the key, "I know I can't get it tonight, but at least I'll know it's waiting." Opened the box and said aloud, "Or it could be small enough to be waiting for me in the box," in response to the reality of the situation. I took the package out, locked up, and came home.
The package is, of course, my adapter and power cord for my laptop. It is currently rubbing its little hands together and wearing layers so it can get warm, because to plug it in while cold would probably be a very bad idea. I'm so excited!
EDIT: THE FUCKING THING DOESN'T FIT MY LAPTOP! And not only that, the cord doesn't even fit the adapter! FUCKING INCOMPETENCE!
