Closing in on 40

im on a plane now on a return trip from hong kong. somewhere around the bearing straight i suspect.
with only about 2weeks lead time for the trip, and one of those weeks spent on a family vacation in seattle, i didnt really feel prepared for it. theres were 4 of us, Mark, Nick, Aaron Vyvial and myself, hosting Moy Tung for a week.
we stayed at a 5 star hotel attached via skywalk to a shopping mall in mongkok in kowloon, and walked to the vtaa for classes daily.
in an alley outside the chungking mansion, while i was buying cute chinese dresses for my daughters, sigu g found a seal maker.
in mirador mansion we got bespoke suits, which have your name custom embroidered. After a very brief discussion sigung concluded my name should be Lung Yat Tung, and ive had a chop made with those characters.
This is something close to the culmination of a path i set on around the time i started this journal.
looking out the window i see the faintest blue line of imminent dawn on the horizon. I didnt really have a plan to get here, i followed a course. Its satisfying to see things play out.
