today i woke up in mississippi...
i tried to spell it backwards, and i failed miserably. i'm sure you could do better.
everyone here is so nice, like pleasantville nice. its not a big deal. but i like it.
last night i was in dallas, that was fun. i made a deal with tristan prettyman's manager. shes pretty nice.
they didn't bring a sound engineer, or a merchandise person, so they were hoping to use our people i guess. they wanted to offter me 5% of gross sales. for all the politics involved i sorta felt like i had to do it, or else they would hate me, and i would be having to sell every night next to tristan's pissed off tour manager. its a lot more work that she thinks. i can tell because she thought that 5% was totally okay. which is is not. at all. especially when credit cards are involved. not so much fun. that makes things twice as complicated, and twice as much work for me.
i made a deal though, i told her i would sell their stuff for cash only, and take the percentage they offered me. too bad for them the last show over half of their sales were in credit cards. oh well... it takes money to make money, and i guess they are just not into that. thats okay though, it makes my life much easier. i have a feeling once i do the first cash only show, she might change her mind.
i am being taken advantage of, but i guess its either that or make enemies. besides, tristan is a nice girl, and she covers britney spear's toxic. i have to respect that.
