sundance, slamdance, xdance...
so many dances i can't even keep track of.
vaca was great. i even worked a couple days for gen art, so i made a little cash money, and met minnie driver, she is so beautiful, nice, and the hottest accent. i wish i had one.
anywho, i saw 4 smokin movies, went to after-party after after-party, but the after-after was usually at my house. no sleep til six am every night, and up by ten. i dont know how paris does it, and tara reid, she's creepin mid-thirties. its unbelievable, energizer should sponsor them and say they run on their batteries. hah.
- soooo... best story every was corey feldman showing up at our house party at 3 am asking for coke... a-cola. what a tool. i said i didn't know what he was talking about and walked away, to do a few bumps. la la.
+ buck 65 was amazing, blew me away. i never thought i would enjoy eraserhead in that way, but he got me. he got me good.
+ this movie special i saw, just left me breathless, maybe i was the only one that connected with the main character, and i have some strange affinity with redheads that have psychological disorders, but i just loved it.
- drinking in ut however sucks ass, double the amt of booze to get me to the place i like to be. food wasn't bad though.
+ the beastie boys are old, but they still rock out like nobody's business. brass monkey is also a great martini.
- chris penn found dead is his home, just days before the darwin awards premiere. is that ironic? sad for sure.
+ ran into my friend pei pei at an the after party for the darwin awards. that was so great. i miss her, i havent seen her since the last time i was in la. day after tomorrow i will be there again, and we will for sure meet up.
+ the 6 mil house we rented for the week came with a free shuttle to and fro, wherever, whenever... what a steal. this place ruled. we called it, chateau marciano. if anyone was responsible for anyone at that house having a good time, it was him. he kicks ass, that smooth motherfucker, and i love him.
- dom got sick the last two days and i felt really bad for him. he got the flu, and stayed in bed all day almost. i took care of him as much as i could.
+ gift bags and free stuff. makeup,music, clothes, toiletries. YAY.
our friend john made a short little movie about our stay and you can check it out and iwillseetheworld.com, also his blog about sundace, and his travels. im so jealous. i can't wait to get out of the country. dom and i might possibly be going to italy in june for friend's wedding. that would be so awesome. i totally want to do that.
i had better start saving my money now though since i had to get a root canal done literally days before sundance. sucky. i feel better now, no tooth problems thank god. it cost an arm and a leg, but it was better than the month before i spent being a drunken vicodin zombie just to make it though the day.
so i start touring with ben being a merch girl on the 1st of feb and that goes until march 12th. after that maybe sxsw. it would be great. i just hope i can get more time off of work. i am so lucky i have an awesome manager. he seriously is like, "you know, you're not always going to have these opportunities, so you should take them when they come... just bring back a t-shirt for my kid."
haha. these are the words that i will now live by.
