financial aid
Financial aid is a bitch. First of all, they increased my loan from a little over $2000 to $5500. Secondly, I've been pretty thrifty, so I've managed to save a fair amount of money. I thought-- AWESOME, I can travel Europe when I'm abroad and still have a little padding for when I graduate, also maybe visit Iliana who is PREGNANT (I'm going to be an auntie!!!). But no, counting what Haverford expects me to contribute from my savings and summer earnings (which, since I received as grant money, I already have in my bank account), my savings will go from an awesome $7318 (!) to a piddly $1422. How depressing.
