Weekend!
Isn't it strange? I am always happy that the weekend is there, thinking it will allow me to relax. And then I am always happy when Monday comes around, because it means everyone will leave the house and I will have time all on my own.
I think the important thing about this is that I am always happy about either happening, not dreading one or both.
This Saturday is a very quiet one so far: the Punk is at orchestra practice all day (until 5pm) and The Husband and the girl are at kindergarten - it is "Daddy and me" morning, yay! So it is just quiet!son and me, which suits me just fine. Him too, I guess.
In the afternoon, Husband, girl and I will drive into town to have a look at school bags - she has very specific wishes and also very specific needs, being so tiny that most bags are too broad for her. We'll have to see what fits best.
Am feeling very much awake today; I went to bed at 9 last night - before any of the kids! *snort* Pure bliss, that.
