Last post from me today, I promise!
The Punk has been off to Brazil for almost three weeks now and will return tomorrow. He has emailed several times, but all our efforts to communicate via ICQ had failed - until half an hour ago. Wo-hooo! I talked to my son in Sao Paulo!
Have asked him about what he wants to eat tomorrow, for his "homecoming dinner" and he chose - "Schnitzel". What kind, I asked. "Any kind, and lots!" he replied. *snort* That's my boy!
Apparently life in Brazil was much more expensive than the teachers had told us before and they all ran out of money. Tsk, tsk. But they seem well organised and are going to make a DVD with all of the pictures all of them took with their digital cameras. Yay for modern technology!
He also told me that he has spoken (via ICQ) to a couple of class mates. School started again today and they told him he has been drawn to take part in the next Pisa survey. Let's hope *that* will help to get Germany off the last place in that ranking. ;)
