Uff!
I cleaned the girl's room and sorted out some more things. It looks quite presentable now, more than it has in ages.
This afternoon I made the Punk clear out *his* room and then had a nice afternoon with him, assembling his new desk. We both like doing stuff like that, it is like Lego on a larger scale. It was nice to do something together with him, we rarely ever get to do that. And I do like a little bit of DIY, as long I have instructions available and no "expert" breathing down my neck.
When I was the Punk's age, I always was the one my father asked to help with technical stuff, my brother is as hopeless as my mother at it. I only stopped doing these things when The Husband took over. He is stronger and has more experience, so he is the one to do it while I tend to the unironed shirts ...
Today I realised how much I had missed working with screwdriver, hammer and IKEA-L-key. I guess I will be doing more of this in the future, hehe. Even if my back hurts like hell.
Tomorrow there is a little more rearranging in the Punk's room to do, then we will move his bed back in. But we threw out two shelves today, so he might have a little more moving space from now on.
