I like autumn. The late summer left the city heavy with the smell of heat, but the autumn wind came rushing in and quickly cleaned the air. The leaves change colour and whirl in the cool breeze all around me. I have the park all to myself. Rain comes and goes, but I don't mind, it is beautiful. The autumn also brings the musky scent of decay from the leaves that lie rotting on the ground. But it is beautiful and true. Some things must break down in order for new things to be built.
Such is my mood. Though I'm not always happy, and my feelings seem to roar like the autumn storm around the corner of my building, I still feel at peace with myself. Great things are underway.

My family left for Australia and I am now the proud caretaker of a rather fat, lazy, long-haired cat. Despite the fact that he just vomited twice (correction: four times now, he is sitting behind a chair in the corner, looking very embarrased) on the floor, we are happy to have him. He is otherwise quite easy to take care of. But he is not so happy about not being able to go outside. I borrowed a cat-leash, but I doubt that he would like it much...
I'll be gone from Thursday to Saturday on a field-trip, I guess you could call it, and I just found out that one of my favourite bands play on Thursday night in Copenhagen, so I'm a bit disappointed about that... But I'm sure seeing all the exciting ancient places in northern Germany and the south of Jutland will be interesting too.
I've managed to see all of four movies this last week (very impressive for me!): the Constant Gardener, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Brothers Grimm (more Monica Bellucci, please!) and Howl's Moving Castle (with Danish dub...).
I bought two items on ebay (bad, bad girl!) neither of which has managed to get here yet. Both were sort of expensive (and sooo beautiful) so I would be very sad to see them lost in the mail. Ah, I worry too much.
Oh, another reason for why I like the fall is the early dusk... The time when night and day are evenly balanced, I've always liked that. It makes the world seem like a different place. And I can enjoy the pretty light of candles much longer.
