Blank stares are already a dreadful reminder of how hopeless other people are," Sherlock said. / "Since most people aren't maintaining a home with Merlin living backwards, I think I'm doing alright at going with it so far," John said.  faor says  The initial read-through of this fiction was probably one of the most challenging things I've done reading-wise in some time. Sherlock lives backwards, day by day, his history John's tomorrows. For the reader, it's a shock and needs some time getting used to, but oh is it worth it. It's awkward and terrifying for the two boys to move through it at the beginning (both of their beginnings), and you are right alongside Sherlock as he unravels his beautiful tomorrow-to-yesterday world.
