Canonverse || Gen, slight Dojima/Adachi || The sentence isn’t for life. It’s a very, very, very long time, but with flimsy evidence, and Adachi being so very good at cooperating when he wanted to be, that makes it a very, very long time instead. The rain on release day feels like the rain in prison - Inaba’s own special brand of Fuck You And Welcome Back. It soaks him through in a matter of minutes, because he didn’t have an umbrella when he checked in, and because he has no pick-up car to run into. There is nowhere to go.

My suggestion is this: read everything by this author. Go to her Persona 4 tag and reeeeeeeead, because she is wonderful. This is probably one of my favorites. Set after Adachi is released from prison, it's a wonderful take on Dojima and Adachi's relationship that is beautiful and heartbreaking. There's a kind of sequel/epilogue here.
