I'm currently on my way back from Wisconsin, and haven't posted an update in so long a time, that I figured I'd do it. NCUR (National Conference for Undergraduate Research) went well, and I am going to be presenting for the third time this coming Wednesday in McKeldin library. I'm not sure what room, but it'll be between 1:45pm and 2:45pm for 20 minutes.
Rather than go into the minutiae of my life and deadlines, I'll just summarize. School's almost over. I'll have 80% of my work for the semester done by May 1st. Then, I'll have the month of May to finish up with finals and graduation. Then I'll be starting work, most likely, at Booz Allen Hamilton on June 1st. I had really wanted to have a summer vacation, but the money will be more useful, especially if I'm going to be buying my first house come September. Probably a townhouse, but I'm thinking somewhere around 200-300,000.
Then in 4-5 years, I'll probably go to graduate school somewhere, after visiting various colleges. I want to spend some time reading the books the various potential advisers have published. And to see about how good of an mentor they are; I've definitely had some hands off advisers in the two I have now.
