Revelation
Woah! So I cooked dinner for Reineke and I tonight (Beef rollups, which are 1/4" thin strips of beef browned, with stuffing on top then rolled up and held together with tooth picks and simmered in beef gravy for half an hour) and found out that Newcastle is the PERFECT drink to go along with them o_O I mean, I love Newcastle to begin with, but it's still just beer, and tastes like beer, especially out of the bottle. But with the beef flavor / stuffing it tasted like high quality Wine I swear! It fit with it perfectly, it was so weird o.o The Newcastle didn't taste like beer at all, it more had a slightly alcoholic compliment to the already present taste of the beef. No bitterness, not even a really strong alcoholic taste. Mmmmm I'll have to do that again :3
