I met with my French teacher today to correct my latest French paper. I'd had to write a movie review, and Amira and I chose "L'Auberge Espagnole," which was a fairly enjoyable movie (much to the chagrin of the other library patrons, who had to listen to us laugh inordinately loudly while listening to the film on headphones). Seems to me that it's the middle of nowhere. But I'm just a city-girl at heart! She's been out there twice and adores it.

My family is from near Morehead, which is out in Eastern Kentucky. It's a little too rural even for me, haha. The nearest city is Lexington, which is about an hour or hour and a half drive away, and it's still a fairly small city (about 300,000-500,000 people). Who in the world decides to move to Morehead? Haha.

She wants to move for a guy. And I think he works in Lexington. She says he's sending her a "I (heart) Morehead" t-shirt for Christmas, which is fitting for her sense of humor - as well as his, I'd imagine.

A bit, but what's worse is the town's welcome sign. She's tried taking pictures of it while she's there, but it was dark the first time and raining the second.
