(no subject)
So my mouse is being temperamental and keeps deciding to randomly start and stop working, but I think I fixed it. I'll just cross my fingers that I fixed it because boy, it would suck if my mouse randomly stopped working on me, since that would make my comp pretty much unusable for awhile. I'm not too worried though since it seems to be doing fine now.
But, I need to hyperventilate for a second here:
FUNIMATION HAS STARTED TO PUT EPISODES OF GUNGRAVE ON YOUTUBE!!!!
So far they only have the first 4, I'm not sure what pace they are uploading the episodes at.
But man, now I just have to rewatch it because I really wanted to see the dub and now I can do so without buying the DVDs. So far I've seen the first episode dubbed and I gotta say I love the voice acting and the choices they picked for the characters. Well, except for Balladbird Lee being voiced by Blum. That is.... going to take awhile to get used to. I don't know, his voice is all dark and gravely and serious when the Japanese version he's almost goofy sounding. I can't believe Bunji is voiced by Lex Lang because he sounds nothing like other characters he's voiced like Krim and Sanosuke. I like it a lot!
...and then watching the dub I'm reminded that Grave/Brandon is cool and it would be cool to play him somewhere.
But he is so quiet, and for reasons spoiler-y if you havn't seen the series: I kind of doubt he would be doing much in any game without a cast, especially without a Mika. However I think I found a way to work around this, but hey: I need to see if I can handle one game with Livio before apping to another with Grave. He would certainly be quite a challenge to play and a pain in the ass to build CR with because as cool and interesting as he is as a character: when it comes to interacting with the world you might as well draw a smiley face on a balloon, glue a wig on it, and then tie that balloon to a coat rack, and it's pretty much the same thing.
That is seriously not an exaggeration and how unnaturally quiet he is was something actually pointed out in canon a couple of times, and that's BEFORE he turned into a zombie and made everything worse when it comes to "not really doing or saying anything just sort of existing and wandering around". Of course he has a personality underneath that but it's generally not something that others see because... well, he doesn't give any indication to anyone that he even has one aside from generally being a nice guy and body language.
...I guess there are always the 4th wall events?

EDIT: Hahaha no. Aparently my mouse still keeps cycling in and out of working and not. It was working okay aside from being annoying, then it got really bad, but now it seems perfectly normal again. Knowing my luck it'll go through that little cycle again and again until it finally just... dies. I just hope it can hold out until a replacement is bought (or found, who knows, maybe there is an ancient mouse floating around here somewhere). Since if it dies I'll pretty much be stranded until the end of next week when my brother comes back with his laptop.
EDIT 2: things are looking worse and worse for my poor little mouse. I'm also getting the suspicion that it's the usb drivers themselves that's the problem rather then the mouse because the only other mouse I could find in the house was also a USB mouse and it had the exact same issues. I'll do everything I can to keep it working as long as possible but if I suddenly disappear for about.... a week or so then well.... you know why.
You know, if I was the superstitious type I would think my computer is sentient and is taking revenge for me being computer dumb all of those years ago by breaking down at the most inconvenient moments now. At least THIS time it's not a software problem but a hardware problem.
