Tonight I went to go see some independent films on campus. The films were truely shit. I didn't learn or see anything i didn't know or predict. No suprise or revelation at all. Later, a friend of mine came in to my place and we planned revenge on a nemesis of his. I must admit, I am looking forward to it. I played more backgammon with Rino tonight ( Read more... )

Reminds me of that old one we wanted to do involving porno movies or something?

Put ads in the paper saying "Hot young teenage nyhmphete porn videos!... barly legal! Send $19.95 to po box whatever... Allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery" or something to the effect.

After 6 weeks, stop taking orders, and send everyone that sent you money a letter and a refund check. The letter could read along the lines of "Sorry, it turns out that she lied about her age and was under 18. We can't sell the video. Here is your money back"

Of course, the name of the company on the check that you sent them was "The teenage anal sex and child molestation club" or something attrocious like that.

A *lot* of people just won't cash that check. Some will have families and worry about their wife thinking they are a child molestor. Some will not want to bring it to the bank.

Let's say that just 10% doesn't return the money. Well, if you advertise in a national source, and 10,000 people order at $20 each, thats $200,000. That means that $20,000 will be unclaimed (potentially)

Plus, you would earn interest on that money for that 6 week period.

Movie: Unknown. I've never heard of a movie where this happens.

This did happen in Australia about 3 years ago though. Prosecutors were unable to press charges since the people technically did nothing wrong.
