I wonder what it really takes to throw a successful show. Kimmy is the booking queen, not i. I want to book the Starlight Mints with 20 Minute Loop and Run at the Dog. Maybe at the 400 bar or the Hexagon. Actually the Mints would draw more than capacity for the Hex. Maybe the 7th st.

I'ma call the Mints booking agent and get a price. Hmmm. Nah, too lazy.

Maybe I should concentrate on booking my own shows. I would rather play with people though. Is it crappy to book yourself? I'm not dealing with another agent like I had in Seattle.

My cat is a crackhead. I let her have an adventure in the halls of my apt. building and now she's running around the apartment like the 4-headed dogs of hell are chasing her.

Went and saw the Battles. Amazing band. I like the new Iron and Wine alot. Band of Horses is great too but I can tell that I'm going to get sick of them in the same way I got sick of Midlake.

I randomly met the biggest coke dealer in Minnesota. He showed me a kilo brick of fishscale in the back of his truck. Apparently it's from Bolivia and hasn't changed hands more than 7 times. At least that's what I gleaned from his broken English. All I could think is, 'why is he showing me this....oh he must be high' and 'God I hope he doesn't break my kneecaps, I just started walking right again'.

I think this writer's strike blows. I think that last year's congressional mistake that caused birth control to go up in price by 900 percent (and the new congress' foot-dragging to fix it) blows. I think that having a broken foot still blows after a year. Utah blows. My family kind of blows. Except for Dale and Anita. Oh, and Aunt Andy.
