I know it's possible to get a Korean cyworld... all you have to do is fax them a copy of your ID or something right? It would be worth it to try and understand the Korean to talk with Korean friends but it is absolutely not worth it to try and figure out the Konglish on the U.S. cyworld just to be a non-conformist. And I'm not saying that it's hard to understand from my stand point, being someone who has experience with konglish, but from the stand point of anyone who might be interested who is not Korean or familiar with it.

Livejournal always surges and wanes in use. If you look at anyones blog history on Livejournal you can see that they go through periods of high use and then periods of non-existant use.

For a lot of people Livejournal isn't a fad. Check out my friend Brian's history for example, he's been on Livejournal for about... 8 years. Neat fad.

Anyway yes Myspace is a fad for some people but it's not some thing that people just tear through. The only reason Myspace even picked up this much popularity is because of it's incredibly convenient features.

And honestly when was the last time an online community was this big? or the last time an online community got a start-up band's music heard nation wide? the last time an online community has created a celebrity?

The beauty of the internet is that everything continuously changes and hopefully in that change becomes more efficient and convenient to the users. So yes it may seem like it's just fad after fad but it's just the internet world moving forward. U.S. Cyworld is a massive step backwards.
