I stayed home from school today with a fever of 100.4

Shock Value is now number 7, and I'm cool with that. I know there will always be people better than I am ^_^ It's all good. As long as I'm not in last place, I'll be fine. (Heh.)

I wonder why I Blame Society is below mine. Maybe not as many people have voted on hers... All I know is, it should be above Shock Value. I mean, it actually has a developed storyline. I don't even know what I'm going to do for the next page.

I've finished the first chapter of Shock Value (It's 9 pages if you don't count the fillers), so I'll be taking a short break from it (and I mean SHORT.) I'm working on a side comic (kind of an intermission to Shock Value) about Dee and I called 'Blah'. If I decide to continue it, I might just make it a seperate comic, but I don't want to lay all of that on Tenley (It would be in colour.) Also, I don't want to lay it all on myself. I have other things to worry about.

Tenley and I are going to hang out this weekend <3

At this point in time, I'm really enthusiastic about art. Almost as much as Tenley is (Well... maybe not THAT much... but you get the picture.) Right now, I've been doodling my heart out, hoping that (with enough practice) I'll improve. I'm a fast learner when it comes to artistic things (that includes literary arts) and it always sticks with me, too...

I think one of the things that makes my poetry sound better than a lot of kids my age has to do with something I learned last year in Creative Writing. Any time a peer hands me a poem to read, I read it, and 9 times out of 10, they'll use the verb "to be" (was, is, am, etc.) in just about every stanza.

When someone gives me something to read, they should expect me to constructively critisize it. It's just something I do. I always ask them if they'd like me to, first, of coarse... But most of the time they ache for it (like me.)

I'll tell you this, getting rid of the verb "to be" dramatically changes everything for the better. Just a hint for those who want it...

I really feel like writing a poem, but it's late and if my mom catches me on the computer, she'll slit my throat. I'll just write it in my room and I'll post it tomorrow if I think it's worthy enough. I love you all.
