apparently during orientation they don't give you much time to orient yourself with the super-speedy internet here.
highlights of the past few days--
i ran into jane olchewski (remember her? she was at sewickley only my 7th grade year) during matriculation, and i've seen whitney pegdan a bunch of times, but i haven't yet found jamie porter.
i registered for my classes today, and ended up with french 22 (the last "general french" class offered, so everything but 8 am was taken by pre-registered upperclassmen) engineering 1 (computers for engineers, with lab), physics 11 w/ lab, calc 2, gournet engineering as my EN elective w/ lab, and eiter german 1 or italian 1. it's a shitload of class, but i can drop with no record of having taken the class until november 17, so i'm not too worried. though i may not be able to handle a job too XP
today there was a hypnotist as the entertainment thing of the night, and he was hilarious. he convinced some guy that he needed to protect fruit, and everyone else that their shoes were misbehaving puppies.
way more than just that happened, like facebook and a million panels with professors, but i'm far too sleepy to go into all the detail.
i miss my sister, a nd my dog, and my friends... but today i seemed to fit in more than i have the past few days. at least i have 5 or so numbers in my cell phone of people here to call to meet up, so i take that as a good sign.
