(no subject)
yesterday was one of those days that was very bad and very good, but more good than bad.
I took the sewing machine in to be fixed (he bobbin winder was broken, and the presser-foot irritated me) and I got it fixed for $5 rather than the $50 that i though i'd have to pay for a full tune-up. i finally tried the presser-foot from my mom's machine though (which I like better than the one for mine) and found that singer and kenmore are incompatable because the needle hole is in a different place for the 2 of them. grr.
then there was a whole fiasco about whether or not me and david were going to be able to go to sandcastle that got me all stressed out, but in the end we were able to go and had a good time.
except that i stepped on a lit cigarette. i mean, what kind of awful person throws a lit cigarette on the ground where hundreds of people are walking around barefoot? it had to be the only one too, since you're not allowed to smoke there, but i wasn't wearing contacts or glasses so i couldn't see.
then the day got much better, as david and i went to the movies and snuck an entire pizza and side-salad into the theater to see charlie and the chocolate facory. i highly reccomend the cinnamon-ice-cream-soft-pretzel thing they sell inthe upstairs bit of the waterfront theater. yum.
