Failed to get the tour-guide job. Damn.
In other news, today I picked up a copy of Discover magazine on a whim, mostly becuase they had an article on cybernetic implants. Stuff like allowing people who are "locked in" to speak, and eventually to get them full range of motion using brain-machine interfacing. It's truly an amazing field, I think, can't wait to finish the article. I love living in a century that's rapidly becoming like a terrible science fiction novel. You get this impression that anything is possible.
I just wish we didn't have the corrupt politicians and political strife of a sci-fi novel. Can't we have a utopia?
I realized while reading this that I really do still love science, I'm just not cut out to be a scientist. Which is a shame, really. I think it's all awesome, but I lack patience.
ah, well.
job,
