Hero Fled (Original)

Title: Hero Fled
Author: Lisa
Status: Song/Poem
Distribution: Ask me for permission before you take that
Disclaimer: A fictional piece that is a by-product of my muse loving the angst.

You’re suppose to be my protector
An unbreakable shield
Place I run to when I can’t stand
Where I can be me, only me

Guess I was wrong about you
Said you’d be there always
Where were you then
My innocence was violated

I know the truth now
See the lies of you
Won’t be fooled anymore
Won’t be running to you

Never showed up then
Being a force of strength
Left all alone to defend myself
No unbreakable shield protecting me

I know the truth now
See the lies of you
Won’t be fooled anymore
Won’t be running to you

Laying broken batter and empty
Pleading for your rescue
Wondering where my hero fled
Still waiting for my here to come
