The large endless ocean surrounded the mythical boat The Flying Dutchman, Will stood at the quarter deck while he watched the golden haired beauty that was perched on the bowsprit stand, walk gracefully across it and than hopped onto the deck before she sauntered towards him.
It was a year today that the mysterious blonde landed on the deck in the dead of night; her clothing unrecognizable to anything he’d seen the women of the land or sea wear. For a fortnight she wouldn’t speak, when words finally tumbled out of her mouth in rapid session her dialect was foreign.
Buffy moved silently next to Will who lifted his arm for her to duck under, pressing herself against his warm body a small shiver raced down her spine as the wind whispered in her ears. Memories that she was trying to forget seemed to slip back.
Pressing her face in his chest Buffy took in his comforting scent as it enveloped her. Will only needed to be near her to sooth her unspoken wounds that haunted her on nights like these.
Will spun a gold strand of her hair around his finger absently. “It’s calm tonight.”
“Calm before the storm.”
