today was exceptional.
shortened periods b/c of awards assembly.
and then i got an award for spanish 4 which is ridiculous. i got a 79 in that class one quarter...and they gave it to me just because i was the only sophomore in the class.
it was nice though. and Elena kept saying how i should've gotten the global award. I dont know, i was pretty pissed for not giving us a joint pin though...Elena and i were the dream team in global...the dynamic duo...we just loved history--and our grades were nearly identical. if she did better on one test, i'd do better on the next.
and it was never a competition, and i always was really happy when we did really well together.
however, i think their dicision was influenced by her 1 point lead on the global regent.
anyway, it was realy nice that she said that i had deserved it more than she did, which made me feel really good--but i thought that if anyone had gotten it, i was REALLY glad it was her's. \
got some good test grades back today, thats always nice...i thought i was floundering with those on tuesday.
im just breathing a sigh of relief.

swim practice was actually good...jess abdallah was there and she kept me going. she wants me to do really well...i dunno, when you start having dreams about swimming and the improvment of your start offs and flipturns [and you can see those flags abover your head...1...2...3...4 strokes after and 1 stroke into the wall KICK THOSE FEET UP and pushhhhhh] you know that you have to start making an improvement. it was only towards the end that my bronchii began to give me trouble. it was really great.

OH YES!! the best of news today...so ashley [my lurve! my lurve!] was supposed to come down for columbus day weekend. well, originally it was going to be sarah but she bailed for a free weekend on the cape. so ash was going to come down because i thought if not sarah, well HELL, ashley is good if not better in some ways [am i right am i right?]. but anyway, ashley couldn't come down but told me to come up...and im thinking "yeah fucking right...like im going to pay $96 to bus my ass to lowell." well it turns out that im a genius and REMEMBERED that it only costs TWENTY BUCKS to get to BOSTON on a GREYHOUND. BOSTON...MASSACHUSETTS. and then i get the news that sarah is GOING TO COME.
yes! yes yes yes!
