yesterday was quite the day.
or the evening was quite the evening. i began by helping sammy pick out a name for her new kitten [did luxx win?], and then i kicked it;opera-style :]
i saw mark morris [i knew he would come!] and he gave me a huge hug before the curtain went up, and said that he would gaurantee his presence in the 2nd half of the show because i'm the last one on stage.
because i had a pass i got to watch the first 10 or 15 minutes of the show...it was very good. the LA philharmonic is excellent and i finally got to see Dawn Upshaw sing! it was the best! aaand, when we finally went on [we're in the final act] we didn't screw up, and we sounded amaaaazing. meep! then i went backstage to get John Adams' autograph and he signed it "Dear Thea, best wishes-wonderful singing, John Adams"
and Joe Bowie from the MMDG was there...he gave me a huge hug and was like "your part was so touching, i cried!"
he oficially gauranteed my presence in his dressing room after opening night. and im going to have to say "oh my god Joe-your dancing was phenomenal-it made me cry!"
and then he'll laugh. and i'll tell him how i want to have all of John Heginbotham's babies...and then i'll go find John and have hot wild sex with him.
i love my life.
