R.I.P Ruth Kitty

Little Ruth Kitty left us yesterday, she was 22 years old. She had been in declining health over the past several weeks from kidney failure but had been bravely fighting on. She will be greatly missed by me, and jdulacShe was our dowager, our grande dame, a lady of culture and refinement, to whom we gave a voice something like Bertie Wooster’s Aunt

We will indeed raise a very special glass in her honor on Saturday the 20th. Do you think Maxim's would appropriate or would she perhaps have preferred a quiet little place in the 2nd?

Maxim's, of course, is a lovely place to be seen and paid due homage, so that is quite appealing!

(Of course, I suspect Herself might have had a bit of A Past and still knew a few places in the 2nd that were fondly remembered... or even the 14th!)

After reading your description, I'm hearing Miss Ruth speaking in the voice of Gay Purr-ee's Mme. Rubens-Chatte (AKA Hermione Gingold) :-) I'm glad you-all had so many years together!
