the time is 00.58 and there's just been an earthquake. Yes. Here.
The whole house was shaking. There were two shakes. Things were falling off the walls and floors. and it was very frightening. Only certain things in the house moved. Things fell off the stairs, the cats drinking bowl upturned.
In fact I'm still frightened now.
I should goto bed but I'm scared.

BBC News 24 reported that the quakes were felt in Darlington, Cheshire, London, West Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, and here in Yorkshire.
The Epicentre was near Hull and measured 4.7 on the Richter scale.
I'm calmer now, but still shaking. (rang my dad in the end cos I couldn't get anyone else on the phone to calm me down)
