My "night life."

I have been having very intricate dreams lately. I am in such a state of consciousness that I know that I am dreaming and can manipulate myself and my surroundings during my dreams. So much that when my alarm wakes me up I go back to sleep and pick up the dream where I left off. I am also beginning to remember them in detail.

This is described in a book I have as "lucid dreaming."

"...Yet many report that this is a technique that can be learned. However, Peter Fenwick, who has carried out research in this area, suggests that unless you are a "natural," it may take a very long time to learn. Those who do have lucid dreams say it is an exhilarating experience, and it is worth persisting in trying to learn. Peter Fenwick describes it as being the closest that humans have to a fantasy life that is virtual reality. He says it is as if you are conscious even though you are asleep. You can think and reason, make decisions and act on them, all the time aware that you are in a dream world, which gives you a wonderful sense of freedom.
