Basically, what you're saying is that she's now Kharlan War!Martel, except with Spirit!Martel's appearance (Amazing how some people don't know there's a difference) and knowledge that she is a spirit?

...Okay, first off, is the difference noticeable to someone who isn't nitpicking? From the discussions that prompted this (as well as from the fact that there's really no canon art that I know of), I was under the impression that they looked pretty much the same, save for tiny things. For example, Spirit Martel has those leaf things tucked into her hair/ear area.

Basically, yeah, she's Kharlan!Martel, but with all memories of Luceti intact (which means that she has to remember being a spirit at one point). All CR from Luceti is still intact. Etc.

I remember taking a picture of the character sprite and putting her right next to a picture of the guardian spirit. The difference is huge. It may be partly due to the chibi GC graphics as opposed to nifty anime scene graphics, but even then. You can take a quick snap of Martel-stuck-in-tree and compare that to see a difference as well. I can look the pictures up for you, if you want.

I see, I see. Out of curiosity, are you ever planning on having her death penalty fixed?

Oh yeah, the stuck-in-the-tree Martel. If you've got pictures of that, that'd be great. Not sure where the 'character sprite' came from, though? ToP?

And no, fixing the death penalty would be dragging all the problems in that I had before. Canceling out the retcon, in a way.
