OOC Announcement for The Luceti Championship Title Bout

Poll It seems like Mac’s been babbling about this for some time, hasn’t he? But at last, with the craziness of November out of the way and with both of us finding ourselves with more time on our hands, Essem and I are gearing up for this long-anticipated boxing match between LUFFY and LITTLE MAC.

Because December is bound to be jam-packed with celebrations relating to Christmas and New Years, we figure that this little player event would best be held in January. But to help decide WHEN in January would best work for those of you who have characters interested in attending, we thought we would set up this nifty poll. When we have the results (we'll wait a few days), either Mac or Luffy will be making an IC announcement about it.

That said, characters who do *not* know Luffy and Mac are very welcome to have a look as well to see what the hubbub is about!

• The boxing match will take place at The Battledome. Luffy and Mac will be dueling it out in a virtual boxing ring in one of the six chambers. As a member of the audience, your character can either be in that chamber with the fellas, in virtual seats, or they can be watching from the Viewing Area on the floor above if they prefer. (A perk about the Viewing Area is that it apparently has vending machines up there. Everyone likes snacks!)

•  ICly, the actual fight will be less than half an hour long, so your character will be able to do other things that day.

• We’re thinking that the structure of the log will be as follows: there will be a long thread for the fight itself (which can’t be threadjacked except by or Luffy and Mac’s cut doctors during round intermissions - sorry), a section for audience members in the Viewing Area, another for audience members in the chamber where the fight is taking place, and a section *after* the fight for people who might want to catch up with Luffy or Mac for manly pats on the back and cheering and what have you.

Please note that threads in this open log definitely don’t have to be relevant to the match itself. If you think your character would, say, get bored and flirt with someone next to them, go nuts! Don’t feel like your character *has* to be focused on what’s going on in the ring. Mingle and be merry!

There will be excitement!
There will be blood!
There will be cheap snack foods in vending machines!
