It was mentioned before and after that questions were answered pretty quickly. Now we have one who has been waiting a month for a response, two more who have been waiting weeks.
That just really sets a bad impression of the game since that's often where new players will ask questions. I understand sometimes it can take time to check with other mods, but at the very least it would be nice to acknowledge that it's been seen.
Other pages are also taking a bit too long to update still, which was supposed to change with Cata being made a mod, but nothing really is as bad as the FAQ page. I know you guys have lives and all, just was hoping to see some improvement there with another mod and I'm not seeing it.

Also, I understand that this is a loaded issue, so to all who may reply, I ask that we keep discussion calm and respectful.
Have the mods reached a consensus concerning the time frame of appable Homestuck characters? As we know, Act 1 has been published in a hard copy format, but will the mods allow characters from future acts to be apped in the present time?

19. We do not accept webcomic characters unless said webcomic has been licensed and released by a legitimate publishing company.
You could app from those things right now, as long as they are in published form. That was never a thing against the rules.
I don't know if I could guarantee something like Dinosaur Comics, though. These canons will be subject to discussion and approval by the mods before we go ahead and let them in.

When we say legitimate publishing company, we are more looking for a publisher that is not just a vanity press or something self-published.

That said, I think it's also fair to only allow Act 1 in this upcoming cycle and see how it goes from there. No one said that Act 1 thing (or only-from-published materials thing) had to be permanent, yeah? Switching after one cycle will give the playerbase a chance to ease into a little Homestuck, then let the Homestuck people app from further in the next cycle.
There's something else I'm curious about though. Every time a new game opens I see people trolling reserves and then like 15-20 people reserve Dave Strider. Are you the mods going to accept every Dave reserve and try to dissuade the reserve trolling or...? Not that it's guaranteed to ( ... )

And I apologize if none of this makes sense, ffff. I can try to reword anything to be clearer if need-be.

I'm not sure if this suggestion had been brought up before, but I was wondering what you guys thought about using posts made there as possibly first person samples in an app? Of course I don't mean just the entry would count, maybe they can be considered after a certain number of comments had been made to the original post.
Considering the samples already required the player to set the premise in Luceti, I figured it made sense to use the Training Wings Community as another option for a sample, at least for first person. It might also help the community get noticed better and more use out of it too, because I always see entries there go without comments :(
