The most terrible ones seem to put in an appearance around midnight.

I won't even pretend I don't want to know.

we've gotta be able to find a nice trope-y overprotective dad riff in some fairy tale or another.

my mind is failing me at the moment because of the time but there MUST BE SOMETHING.

I know there are a few. I definitely know there are a few. It's the tropiest of tropes, there must be some.

HM. The Mute Princess? The father literally threatened to put all of her suitors to death unless they could get her to say something by the end of a night spent together.

...a mute buffy. dear lord. i love it.

Willingly mute because ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IN THE WORLD IS INTERESTING TO TALK TO.

Until her prince(ess) Charming comes along to sweep her off her feet with philosophical debates on the nature of love. Three times, because the father is just that overprotective.

:|a i like this idea an awful lot. and the event's so fluid -- so i'm sure this concept would fit nicely into the event's span as a really interesting chance to do some three-way threads.

Have fun being Compelled to not talk to anyone but your one true love, Buffy.

Just PM or plurk me on whatever looks like a good day to set it up. I think this could definitely be fun, I'm excited ^-^. An experiment's just what I needed to get the wheels turning again.

...have fun dealing with the sorry band of suitors that'll end up being marched through your stately patriarchal homestead, giles. xD

riffing on the father and daughter theme'll be nice to build the two back up, as well.

I think so. Mutual facepalm has always been good to them.

n-not to mention, seeing as they do keep a lot of themselves even in the roles, it would probably be a great chance for buffy to sit down and shut the hell up (compelled so, at least) and hear giles out.
