So, for people who are affected, does it start at the beginning of the experiment and only end when the experiment ends, or can people start off unaffected and get hit later on/revert to normal before the end?

I don't have any particular plans, so it really doesn't matter to me which it is. I just want to know my options. :|b

Yeah, you can start off unaffected and get hit later on. And also revert to normal early, whatever you want to do.

Since this event affects a character's defining trait... What about character for whom this trait actually changes depending on the circumstances? For example, someone with a split personality, or someone who switches between modes of sorts like Nu here. Would both of these traits be affected (with them still alternating depending on the circumstances)? Or would it be acceptable to, say suppress one trait while amplifying the other?

...I-I hope that made sense, ffff.

Well in my case, with Greed/Ling here, if I do the event with them, they'll both have different traits affected. The same could happen to Nu's different modes.

Alright, just one more thing, then. :|b

Would it be fine to have the defining trait of one mode amplified but the other suppressed, like in that second example I gave? Or should they be affected the same way?

Thanks in advance! o/

Is the affected character aware that something is wrong? Or is that something we can decide? :|a

Not initially, until someone points it out to them.

... lol I was just coming here to ask that question too. Hm.

I feel like I should ask first. ohmykethe June 12 2011, 19:24:40 UTC
In canon, Mildmay is defined in contrast to his brother, who is a magician, while Mildmay is very much not. Which is basically asking: can I, for the duration of the event, give Mildmay magical powers? He wouldn't be super powerful because he has no training, so it'd just be lots of confused screaming and things blowing up. Small things. Like lightbulbs, and Mildmay's sense of pride and normalcy.

Is this kosher, your modliness?

The event is just a change of personality, not powers or physical attributes. So unless he already has latent magical abilities, it wouldn't work.

Gotcha! Thanks for the head's up.

As a sidenote to that, if you're really set on trying it someday, that would work as a Malnosso post-kidnapping side effect. Just a thought.

Nah, it was just an idea I'm not particularly set on, I just wanted to know my options. But I'll keep it in mind, though; you never know.
