...I may be forced to confess my love to you in the near future. Just as advance warning. I had been thinking about suggesting something like this as an event a while back, but I never got my idea properly written up. And I'm glad, because it wasn't so good as this one.

Oh, and now I have a question: if two characters are from the same canon and one is from an AU such that they believe they always have been from there, does that person remember the other as being the same as their AU in Luceti or do they believe that they always have been AUs of each other
( ... )
If they're from the same canon, then yeah. Waterbender Sokka would expect Katara to be a nonbender and be surprised when she splashes him in the face with her own waterbending, because she's clearly never done that before at home or in Luceti. Assuming Katara doesn't change at all, he would assume that she is the one who is the AU, not himself.
And in the second example, yeah. Just like you said.
Awesome. I was hoping that it would be the second option for maximum confusion over which is the original canon. If people figure out that there's only supposed to be one original reality, I'd love to see a group who, through considering all the evidence, come to the conclusion that one of the AUs is the original canon.
Ohoh, I'd been wanting to turn Chibi-Usa into Black Lady after a Malnossonapping, but this works so much better! So expect a Black Moon witch to be all up in your face when the event starts. ♥
When you say it has to be Canon based, can this include speculation and tweaking of the canon verse, or is it straight out just Canon but in a different role? Using Derek as example, would I be able to make a reasonable case for the possibility of dhampires, or would I have tostick with the Canon vampires?
Canon doesn't say either way--it concentrates almost solely on the vampires and hunters, although the book at least hints that there are other things out there (werewolves are the one specific creature that are mentioned).
I'm just using Derek as an easy example for clarification sake; IE: if a player could come up with a reasonable explanation for the 'change', would it be allowed. (IN Derek's case: Dhampire would result from an infected man getting a woman pregnant before dying of the virus; the virus being transmitted via sperm to the infant, although in straight canon terms, that's impossible, since the canon indication is that the virus component is blood borne only and kills within a short amount of time--far sooner than a 9 month gestation period, so mom would die of the infection long before the fetus was viable.)
