So the journals just don't pick their voices up? Or do they not know how to work them? Or are they just not supposed to think the journals are good for anything? Or is it like the Malnosso talking and it just picks up static? Also, should we just leave plot holes where they did communicate earlier? Duo'd probably be dead at least once if his pet hadn't gotten her claws on the journal.

If you've used the journal for your animal before, obviously we can't just disregard it. Just keep in mind for the future that it can't do it anymore. It'll pick up whatever animal sounds your pet makes.

Oh! That makes sense. The people can understand them but the journal just picks up regular animal noises. Okay!
