Who: Open to everyone going to the tournament, both fighters and spectators. And of course, our two commentators.
What: First round of the tournament
When: Wednesday, first day of the festival
Where: A wide open clearing near town
Summary: It's the first round of the festival's fighting tournament. That's ... pretty much it.
Rating: PG/PG:13. There's fighting, and there's bound to be some words exchanged. So yeah.
Within a fairly close proximity to the town itself, a large, open area beside a hill was surrounded by a high fence (which, of course, had two gates on either side, so competitors didn't have to walk into the "arena" side by side). Not the best looking fence in the world, as it was made from long wooden poles and black tarp, but it'd suffice.
The hill was at just the right angle for any spectators to sit comfortably and at a safe distance to watch the matches if they felt like doing so. The two commentators had their own sectioned off area of that hill, from which they could be heard clearly without much outside noise and had the best view.
Everything appeared to be going smoothly at the moment, but things could change at any time.
[[OOC, now in non-tiny-straino-vision: OKAY. In case you've forgotten, the tournament match-ups are
here. If you're not playing out the match and haven't let me know who the victor is supposed to be, then please let me know here in an OOC comment or something along those lines, so I can set up round 2's match-ups.
As stated, spectators are welcome to make their own threads, since I doubt people would just come to watch and stay completely silent the entire time. As for commentators (Jade and Ruto), they are free to jump into threads for their commentary. Fighters, don't worry about it messing up the flow of the thread, as you wouldn't be able to respond to the commentary as it is. Just pass over them.
Also, fight threads don't have to be posted in the order of the matches. Time zones are time zones, so if things were done in the exact order given, then round one would take forever.
One thing I do ask for the fighters to wait for is for one of the commentators to introduce the two fighters to the spectators before starting the actual fight. Meaning, start the actual thread, and one of the commentators will say who the two fighters are, along with whatever snarky quips they want to come out with, and the very next comment should be the start of the match itself. Again, if anyone has any questions, PM me or just throw an IM over AIM to me (Consella Rion). Have fun, guys ♥]]
