No matter. Hitsugaya felt oddly content while listening to the strange music.

"How fare you, good sir!" he greeted from behind his simple red domino mask.

"Looking for a good time, Ukitake?" he tilted his head, looking over the costume. "I almost didn't recognize you."

"And yes, after months of being cooped up in my house for hours at a time, I feel it's time I had myself a gala, yes? Shall we find a pair of lucky misses to make merriment with, good chap?"

And damn the wig was itchy. Ah well, he tried to look as pleasant as possible, donning a white feathered eye mask as he entered the area and gave smiling waves to various people. Many of whom he tried and failed to recognize.

This outfit was no exception, though he was at least TRYING to think within the spectrum of "costume". The mask he wore was, in line with the outfit, very much Mandarin in design. Rohan himself had only been to China once, but he didn't let it stop him from embracing its artistic merits...bizarrely.

"I didn't mean to scare you, Usagi!"

Looking at all this, he couldn't help but be reminded of home and a smile came to his features.
"The other's back home would've loved this..."

He swayed unsteadily as he tried to keep his gaze on the tall, skeletal figure. His costume consisted of a simple suit with a gaudy bow tie, but once he had slipped it on, the transformation surprised him. Sai now appeared as a life-sized ventriloquist dummy. So far his biggest problems related to standing still on spindly legs.

"Are you alright? Seems my spell hasn't given everyone the most practical of forms..."

He stopped himself from hitting the floor by taking the other's hand. This whole thing was difficult to get used to, but thankfully Sai was a very patient person. "It is an interesting experience for everyone. Do not worry about the consequences," he replied as he attempted to right himself again. "My name is Sai."
