Vyse, meanwhile, had been standing outside the bar for quite some time. He was more than ready to teach anyone who dared to challenge him a lesson. He was, after all, the great captain Vyse. One of the biggest legends in Arcadian history. Who cared if he used to be a sappy Blue Rogue? Such trifling thoughts were a thing of the past. From now on, he was going to look out for himself.
Rue was no threat to him whatsoever. He would deal with a little girl like her swiftly, and let it be a lesson to anyone else who dared to oppose him.
"What are you gonna do about it?" he asked in a taunting voice, one hand resting on the hilt of his right cutlass.
[[OOC: It's actually spelled 'Vyse', but whatever. XD]]
She glared at him. "This!" She pointed to the boy again and suddenly, a flock of ravens came out of nowhere to attack Vyse. In the mean time, she hoped that would catch him off guard so she get a sharp stick nearby. Her powers wasn't as great as they were back at home but she had to try something...
"What the-" the rest of Vyse's words were cut off as he unsheathed his blades in a hurry. The ravens were closing in fast, ready to peck at his face. However, to Vyse, the fact that they were only stupid animals made it easier to kill them. He slashed at them, knocking a few out of the air before they even had a chance to get close. It was due to their large number that he wasn't in time to protect the bare skin from their sharp little beaks. Scratches and nicks appeared on his face and his hands.
"Get away, you filthy little pests!" he shouted, wounding a few more with swift attacks from his blades.
After looking around, she eventually found something that might do some damage to Vyse. She found a stick that might break his skin a little bit. After waiting for a couple of minutes, she charged in when the ravens gave her an opening.
Vyse looked back just in time to see Rue charging towards him. He took a quick sidestep, using the cutlass in his right hand to deflect the stick, trying to knock it out of the girl's grip in a spiralling motion. A couple of ravens were still attacking him from all sides, but he hardly took any notice to that. One of his eyes was being protected by a glass patch, after all. And he could always cast a healing spell, now that his magic was working again.
"A surprise attack? I don't think so," he said with a cheeky grin.
The spiralling motion caused the poor girl to hit a wall nearby. "Damnit.." She mumbled under her breath. Rue wants to find some way to beat this enemy on her own, rather than asking her father for help. This was bad...she brought her ballet shoes with her but she needed some time to actually put them on.
Getting back on her own two feet, she glared at him and grabbed a chair nearby and threw it at him. Hopefully, that and the ravens can give her some time off.
Throwing a chair? That seemed like something only a cornered, desperate animal would do. Vyse dodged it with ease, hearing it smash on the ground behind him. What he didn't count on, though, was that the pieces flew in all directions. A larger chunk of wood hit him on the back of the head, causing him to stagger for a moment.
"Ow! Dammit!"
He looked up to see Rue trying to gain some distance. It seemed like she was planning something. But two could play at that game. Slashing down a few more ravens, he hopped back and closed his eyes in concentration. A magical glyph appeared below him, the sheer force of it causing him to levitate mildly. The spell would take about ten seconds to complete.
Quickly putting on her black ballet shoes, she was instantly transformed as the raven princess. Black tutu, black hair with a feather, and ready to destroy Vyse. She also noticed that he was mumbling something...was he casting a spell?
Not wasting any time, she began to spin faster and faster until a small tornodo was formed.
Vyse was indeed very aware of the tornado that was being formed. The only way to counter a tornado was... with yet another tornado, spinning in the opposite direction. How handy that such a spell actually existed.
"Wevles!" the Black Pirate called, extending a hand towards Rue as the glyph disappeared again. A small cyclone, existing mostly of wind and water, was created. It moved towards the raven girl at a rapid speed, ready to nullify that tornado of her own.
That is, if Arcadia magic was strong enough to counter whatever power Rue currently held.
She had to hurry. Using whatever force she had at the moment, she spun even faster to destroy the tornado in front of her. If she had to destroy this force of wind in front of her, she had to make her tornado even faster. Too bad that even if she did succeed in doing so, it would already have taken up most of her energy.
A confident smile tugging at his lips, Vyse watched the clash of cyclones before him. A few pieces of wood flew through the air, and if this kept up the bar might lose some bits of its roof. Not that the pirate could care less about that. He wasn't going to wait much longer either. It wouldn't be long before both cyclones would cancel each other out and disappear.
He gripped his swords tightly and dashed forward once more, determined to strike Rue while she was distracted. Considering the sheer wind force that was still whipping all around him, though, there was a good chance that he would miss her quite easily.
Luckily for Rue, she was able to see that he was running towards her with his swords. She quickly jumped back to dodge him, although the jump was a bit messy due to the fact that she still can't use her full power and she used most of her energy on that spin. "Not bad..." She gave him a smirk before getting back up.
She stumbled a little bit before she moved her arms quickly on her sides, suddenly she jumped in the air again and on to the roof of the bar. She started to attack him with sharp black feathers.
Vyse hopped back, trying to avoid the sudden flurry of feathers. That was... unexpected. Nothing he hadn't seen before, but certainly unexpected.
"Hey, what- Ow!" one of the feathers scratched his cheek, just below the scar that had already been there for many years. He raised a hand to touch the injury, feeling the blood moisten his fingers. Then he looked up at the girl with a growl. "That's it. I'll show you what happens when you mess with Vyse the Legend."
Though his Super Moves were no longer functional, he could still imitate his trusty old Cutlass Fury manoeuvre to jump upwards, far above the roof. As he reached the height of his lunge, he raised his swords over his head, ready to bring them down. There wouldn't be a shockwave or anything like that, but if he managed to hit Rue, she would undoubtedly be sliced into two. If he missed, which was a lot more likely, at least he would end up on top of the bar's roof. ... That is, if the roof could hold them.
[[If that was confusing, you can always look up Vyse's S-moves on
( ... )
Rue was able to dodge that move but it didn't mean she came out perfectly okay. There was a small slash on her right arm that looks like it's starting to bleed. She glared at him as he appeared on the roof before him.
Vyse managed to produce a small startled sound and hopped back, but the roof crumbled faster than he could move. It wasn't long before the gaping hole caught up with him and he fell, screaming a long string of curses, into the bar below. He landed rather unfortunately on a pile of rubble and coughed as the cloud of dust brought tears to his eyes.
"D-dammit," he spluttered, pushing himself to his feet, at the same time trying to find out where Rue had gone.
Even though she was suppose to be an elegant person, there were times when she was clusmy and this was one of them. She got careless and landed on her ankle and thus, breaking it. She cursed under her breath but hopes that maybe under the rubble and dust he won't be able to find her. Getting another sharp black feather, she waited until his back was turned on her and prays that it will hit him on the back of his neck.
Rue was no threat to him whatsoever. He would deal with a little girl like her swiftly, and let it be a lesson to anyone else who dared to oppose him.
