DRAFT LOG #2: The Battle Game!

Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die.

15th-16th

[Pao-lin's out there getting down and dirty with the rest of the offensive forces. She can be found in any area of the mine, usually distinguishable by her neon blue lightning attacks and her nimble, flowing acrobatics as she weaves around enemies, striking to disable them or knock them unconscious before hopefully tagging them. If she's in a more open area, you'll find her using her Hero staff, but in closer quarters she'll have switched to her butterfly knives, her nunchaku, or just her bare hands (well, okay, she's got gloves on and is also sporting her brass knuckles).

Also, she may possibly suddenly swoop into one of your fights and take out that Third Party jerk you were tussling with. It's not kill-stealing, dammit -- it's kill-assisting.]

17th-18th

[Suddenly, Third Party soldiers! Hundreds(?) of them!

As a result of this, Pao-lin's more protective instincts kick in, and she'll hang back near the Processing Area in order to protect the noncombatants there. However, once the initial wave dies down and perhaps someone else can take up her slack back at home base, you can run into her in the other areas of the mine doing her usual thing.]

19th

[She's agreed to escort Caesar for a brief exploration of the Underground City, with the added assistance of Wild Tiger, but whether it'll actually be brief is another story. It certainly won't be uneventful.]

19th

[In the afternoon, Caesar is in the Processing Area taking care of his usual duties. He's already had a chance to check things out briefly in the morning, but now that he knows what to expect, he's a little better prepared this time around. He waits outside of the buildings here for Pao-lin and her friend. He's hoping for a more thorough exploration of this Underground City.]

Pao-lin → Caesar → Kotetsu? :Db

[Wild Taigaaaaaa is here!! Well, he's just here because Pao-lin asked, and he's not one to deny a fellow hero some help! He walks out in his usual full armor-face hidden beneath a robotic face-and spots the guy.]

Oi, are you this Caesar fella'?

[Pao-lin arrives not long after Kotetsu does. She's smiling, but it's clear that the days of fighting have taken a toll on her.]

Sorry I'm late! I was checking up on a few friends here.

[That is an interesting outfit you have there, good sir. Caesar nods at his question.]

That would be me. [He waves a hand at Pao-lin in greeting.] I really appreciate this. It's going to be rough out there.

Baaah, that's fine! [He waves a hand at that, pushing any concern out the window.] We're pretty tough, we'll manage. Right?

[Pao-lin nods.]

This is what we're trained to do. [Minus the whole PROMOTE YOUR SPONSORS thing.] Anyway, I'm kinda curious about the Underground City, myself...

Glad to hear it. Since it seems to be where those Third Party jerks reside, it's going to be pretty dangerous. [He gestures for them to follow as he starts walking toward the tunnel where the barricade was before it fell.] This is the first time we've actually gotten a glimpse of where these people live.

Really...? This is the first time you've seen their homes?

[Weird. :|]

I guess this war's been pretty cryptic for our side so far, huh?

Sure seems like it. Luceti's been around for a while already, but it doesn't seem like anyone knows too much about the Third Party...

Unfortunately. The Malnosso only call for us when it's their territory under attack. This is the closest opportunity to attack them head-on that we've ever had.

Aaa. They don't talk much either... They're pretty good at this whole 'war' situation.

That's probably why the Malnosso want us to tag the soldiers this time around, so they can talk to them and find out more. ["Talk" is, of course, probably putting it mildly, and Pao-lin's been conscious of this for a while now. It didn't stop her from tagging soldiers, since that meant it took them off the battlefield for good without having to kill them, but it did mean that her conscience wasn't as well-rested about the issue as she'd hoped.]

We can only hope. It's a difficult situation when there isn't much we can do about it in the first place.

[It's not too long before they begin getting closer to where the barricade was. At least it's been a relatively quiet journey so far.]

16th

[Leon will be blasting his way through his enemies with a dark beam at first, then as one of the enemies try to get him from the side, he swifts past him; leaving the enemy collapsed.
Leon will still have his hands a little full though, and he will even demand for the closest person.]

You. Assist me.

[Speaking like that, Pao-lin would have to be pretty close in all this outrage. He can already tell she doesn't have many enemies at this point.

Right after those words though, he was almost piked. Had he not stepped back, he'd be seeing red somewhere around his abdomen.]

[Pao-lin glances over in time to see Leon almost being skewered. With a yell, she flings out a hand, firing a stream of lightning at his assailant. It's enough to send the soldier stumbling backwards, but she looks like she's abut to recover, so Pao-lin rushes forward to engage her in battle.]
