[Leonhardt is mostly set to help out with the defensive forces, though from time to time he will go further afield, not that anyone will be able to tell because he's always at the base.

In fact, sometimes there is more than one of him. Kinda creepy, right? That and his sheer lack of hesitation in killing the enemy too.

But anyway, feel free to run into him anywhere, he really can be about anywhere since there will be more than one of him thanks to his abilities. Need some help fighting? Need a rescue? Any non-combatants need help?]

[ooc: If you have a thread planned for the 19th already, commenting here is fine. Just not open for anything else that day due to accident that will be happening.]

[ When we last left off, after the two not-brothers escorted Caesar to the Underground City, the trio were on their way back to the Processing Area when they were ambushed by a group of Third Party elites. Since they're close enough to their destination by now, Caesar got to go ahead, accompanied by one of Leonhardt's shadows...

...but that means the two remaining still need to deal with the five elites on their own unless reinforcements should up. But that shouldn't be too difficult, right? It's not as if they haven't dealt with groups of enemies in the past, even if these are a bit different from the people back at home.]

[Five elites really should be nothing for these two. If anything it's like old times where they dealt with much crappier odds and had far less experience and overall strength. At least they were close to the Processing Area since having to protect Caesar would be harder with this sort of group.

For now, Leonhardt will go ahead and have another shadow appear. 3 against 5 is far better odds and if the Elites assume it's an illusion they will be in a world of hurt fast.

And then he'll quickly cast Earth Guard on Joshua too. May as well let his not-brother be protected from harm.]

[Earth Guard, huh? That's a good idea, actually. There's a good chance that the elites can hit reasonably hard, so that should help... but having just one of them shielded isn't quite sufficient as far as he's concerned, so before he does anything else, he'll use his own orbment to cast Earth Guard on Leonhardt as well. Not on the shadow, though.

When that's done with... well, the logical thing to do would be to try to handicap how quickly the elites can act, right? And a fairly effective way to do that is to make use of Evil Eye in order to attempt to slow them down and do some damage at the same time. Hopefully that'll delay their first action a little bit.]

[Of course it's a good idea, though of course Leonhardt very much is of the opinion that Joshua needs protection more than he does. They were already at enough of a disadvantage with most of Leonhardt's skills being too powerful for use in a smaller tunnel like this.

He quickly calculates the width of the tunnel and realizes that if he centers Silver Thorn in the middle it shouldn't cause a cave in even though that is pushing things. Zero Storm, Demon Flame and Meiouken are definitely out for this battle, however.

And oh look, one of the Elites that is still moving after Joshua's attack moved towards the middle. Good, he'll cast it on that guy and hopefully a few more stay in range.]

[Three of the others do stay in range as well, but the fourth remains out of range. While Silver Thorn means four of the five are going to be somewhat easier to deal with for a while, that fourth one's only slowed down; while that's an advantage, that one is still capable of acting. While the other four try to recover from the attack, that one will be using the chance to approach the duo, his weapon ready.

Before he can get too close, however, Joshua will try something - namely, leaping behind that particular soldier and trying to use the hilt of one of his blades to hit the back of his head. Not with enough force to kill, but it should still do some damage if it connects, if not outright knock him out... and that's exactly what he's aiming for.]

[And the one that Joshua just attacks does fall to the ground face first, unconscious. Good, that's one they don't need to worry about for now.

Leonhardt and his shadow will go ahead and go after the closest Elite to them. Let the other three attack each other for now.]

[Alright, that's one out for now. Theoretically, they could scan him now, but... with the other four still standing, that's a bit too risky.

So instead, like Leonhardt, he'll focus on going after the confused elites next. Not by attacking directly, though, but by dashing inbetween the remaining three briefly to draw their attention, then leaping out of the way once they turn toward him. With any luck, they'll end up trying to attack each other considering their current state. Even if they don't outright knock each other out, that should make things a bit easier for the two of them if it works.]

[Unfortunately they aren't that lucky and one of those three attacks Leonhardt as he and his shadow deal a killing blow on the one he was attacking.

Well, there goes Earth Guard on him. The other two, however do attack each other and deal relatively superficial injuries to each other. Still, better that than them attacking Joshua.]

[...Ow. Okay, that looked unpleasant. That sword really does seem to make it extremely easy to kill, huh...

But that aside, Earth Guard wearing off is a bit troubling, but as long as the three remaining elites are still confused, it's not too much of a concern. So while Joshua could just cast it again, for the time being, he'll prioritize dealing with the remaining three elites.

And first things first, the one that just attacked Leonhardt needs to go. So once again, he'll dash over to that particular elite - only that this time, rather than going for a hit using his blades or their hilt, he'll go for a high kick aimed at the his chin instead. It won't be enough to take him out, but as long as the kick connects, it should leave him open, giving Leonhardt the chance to deal with him while the remaining two elites are still occupied with each other.]

[Far too easy to kill, and he tried to swear off excessive violence too. But with the conditions of this and how fast he can bring down the enemy, he is having to settle for being merciful.

And Joshua, you are definitely being predictable. But no matter, Leonhardt will go ahead and deal with that one who attacked him. Though even confused he actually does block the attempt to kill with his own sword, though Kernviter breaks it in half with the amount of force Leonhardt had put into that hit.

But that does prevent the blow from being fatal and the shadow merely does superficial damage as well.]

[Predictable he may be, but it makes sense, doesn't it? If this particular elite is capable of attacking normally, he's the biggest threat out of the remaining three, so of course he'd focus on him.

But since Leonhardt's attack wasn't enough to take him out, he might as well finish the job with a different method. Like he did earlier, he'll leap behind the elite after dashing, but this time, rather than go for a normal hit, Joshua will take out one of the small bottles he'd brought with him, quickly opening it and holding it in front of his target for just a few moments - all the while relying a little on Kipinn's magic to ensure neither he nor Leonhardt will end up inhaling the substance contained in it.

The reason for that is obvious rather quickly: not long after being exposed to the substance within the bottle, the elite loses consciousness, falling to the ground. Looks like that was probably a strong anesthetac of sorts.

With that done, he'll close the bottle and stash it away again. Two more left to deal with...]

[And Leonhardt was about to go after one of those two when out of the corner of his eye he sees an ever so slight movement from the first one that had been knocked out. And a small flash of fire indicating the possible use of an explosive ( ... )

[Joshua doesn't fail to notice the elite's movements, either, but his own reaction is a little different. Rather than considering trying to deal with it, he reaches for his orbment. If he can cast fast enough to use Earth Guard on Leonhardt again, that might just be enough for them to deal with the cave-in...

...but before he can even attempt to do just that, he finds himself being shoved away by the shadow and toward the wall, hitting it rather forcefully - though thanks to Earth Guard, that doesn't do any harm - and ultimately landing on the ground, mostly safe from the falling debris. His left leg, though, is still just barely within range.

Beyond a brief pained yelp, however, that doesn't garner much of a reaction from Joshua; aside from the initial pain, the fact that his leg got caught under some of the falling rocks and almost certainly broke in the process hardly seems to be affecting him, as though the fact that his leg ought to hurt like hell from all of this isn't even registering ( ... )

[The large explosion and rumbling and crashing of earth, however, was definitely enough to catch the attention of someone nearby. Fortunately for Joshua, it wasn't one of their enemies... but rather a kid in blue armor dashing onto the scene.

He sees the cave in, and it looks pretty bad. And next to it is a stunned person, no doubt covered in dust and grime from the collapsing earth. He quickly runs up to him.]

Hey! I heard the explosion and the cave in! Are you okay? Is there anyone trapped in there?

[He's already cleared a number of cave-ins and performed some rescues already over the course of this draft. So he's taken to having the Drill Arm at the ready at all times... and it's about to come in handy again.]

[Luckily, hearing Megaman approach is enough to snap Joshua back to his senses for the time being - and it's enough to get him to try to free his leg and succeed after a moment, though not without a fair bit of struggle.

Getting up is another story, though. That... will take a bit longer. So for now, he'll turn his head to address the kid in armor while attempting to get himself to his feet again.]

I'll be fine, but Loewe's still... [Under the rubble, he wants to say, but instead, he finds himself cut short by a sharp jolt of pain caused by him stubbornly attempting to stand on the broken leg. It's likely not too hard to guess what he was trying to say, though, at least.]
