[Once Leonhardt arrives to the dorms he goes ahead to the room assigned to him and will leave the door open just a crack. To him that is saying someone can come in, but please knock first.

He'll go ahead and request some things he couldn't find in the village. A few extra quartz for his orbment, some tools to go ahead and give it a quick tune up that he didn't have on him previously and a fair stock of healing items, especially EP charges since he has a feeling that is likely what he'll need the most of. Though he will also request a few particular dishes that are good on the field and provide added benefits. Not that he needs them, but every edge can only help.

Feel free to come and bother him. He seems perfectly calm and ready for this, like it is perfectly normal for him to do something like this.]

[It probably won't come as much of a surprise that at around 11AM, someone can be heard knocking on the door to Leonhardt's room. Slightly open or not, Joshua isn't about to just enter uninvited. Not today, anyway.

...He actually feels a bit awkward about stopping by, considering how their last conversation went, but given the circumstances... it just seems like something he ought to do.]

[Nope, no surprise at all and since he recognizes both the knock and the familiar presence he'll just keep at his orbment tuning for the time being.]

You can come in, Joshua. My door is always open for you.

[Once Leonhardt finishes speaking, Joshua will carefully open the door a little further, then enter the room and close the door behind him.

That outfit he's wearing looks rather familiar, doesn't it?]

...Hey, Loewe. [Though he's trying to smile, his voice is quieter and more detached than usual as he speaks. It's probably not hard to guess that something is bothering him about their current situation... but that's not something he really wants to bring up. Instead, he just focuses on a somewhat more general topic.]

Did you already request everything you're going to take with you? [He did. Recovery items, some normal medical supplies... and of course, a few of his usual tools in case they should prove to be necessary. Just as a precaution.]

[He most definitely did request a good amount of stuff and a few things are still laying out along with the tools he is using on his orbment.]

I did. I merely wished to finish tuning my orbment since I didn't have all the needed devices on hand when we were brought here. I definitely can't do as well as a factory, but it will have to do until we get home.

[Yeah, someone went and actually attempted to learn some of what they do at the factories so they could be covered during their stay since it was doubtful Luceti would ever get such a thing.]

Good idea. We don't know when we can return, so learning how to do that ourselves while we're here should be helpful. [Maybe that's something he ought to try to learn at some point, too. It certainly couldn't hurt, at least.

Following that, he falls quiet, as if he's not entirely sure what else to day. There are a few things he kind of wants to bring up, but... he's not certain if right now is a good time for that.]

I already knew some before coming here. It was best I did all the work with it until that mission was over.

[He finishes up with his and sets the orbment down. Joshua likely can see now that Leonhardt's orbment has an additional slot, definitely wouldn't be the best idea to go to Grancel's orbment factory with that. That and his quartz is a bit more advanced too, not that it is as obvious by looking at it.]

Does yours need any work?

[The extra slot definitely doesn't go unnoticed. He can't really tell the difference between the quartz compared to the ones he's seen, but that definitely stands out, especially considering the sort of orbment he himself has is the standard type.]

...You're using a different orbment, Loewe? [Yeah, sorry, Leonhardt, but you'll have to wait a moment if you're expecting him to answer that question. That little really caught Joshua's attention, it seems.]

[Leonhardt smirks. Oh, come on Joshua, you know the society has their own labs and genius among them. Professor Russell has a great mind, but he tends towards new inventions rather than advancing old ones.]

Do you not recall that the society has it's own labs and technology? In many ways we are far more advanced than even the Central Factory in Zeiss.

No, I remember that. [Hard not to, really, considering they really were way ahead of most.]

I just didn't know that they were working on orbments. [In hindsight, it's not all that surprising, however. They've made more advanced things than orbments with an extra slot, after all.]

Five years is a long time for many advancements to be made and things to change greatly. You'll see soon enough when we return.

[And no, not really surprising. The society would want its members to be as powerful as possible and even a small upgrade in power to the most powerful members adds even more of an edge.]

... I guess I will. [And that's all he has to say in response to that. No matter what happens... what Leonhardt said is pretty likely to occur, isn't it?

Based on his reaction... it's probably not hard to tell that this is a subject he's a bit uncomfortable with right now. Maybe it's because of their last conversation? Who knows, really, but it's probably best not to stick to the subject of things that could - or will - happen when they return to their world at the moment.]

[Then a change of subject it is.] You didn't answer my earlier question. Or do you still not trust me?

[...Leonhardt, don't make assumptions like that.]

That's not it. [He got distracted by that extra slot on Leonhardt's orbment. Stuff like that happens occasionally.]

I don't think it needs any work right now. [Unless he knows how to upgrade it with an extra slot, but... if that's even possible, an hour might not necessarily be enough time for that.]

[Well, it seems Joshua isn't acting like he completely trusts Leonhardt right now, so that is why the assumption.]

Perhaps I am right that the Malnosso did something to it. I know I sure didn't do anything to cause it to need to be adjusted that much.

[And no, he's not good enough to upgrade, but hmm, maybe they could request one for this? Can't hurt to try, right?]

[It couldn't hurt, no... but Joshua's not entirely trusting the Malnosso to be able to supply everything and have it all work the way it should. Admittedly, they did seem to be able to supply the things he requested, but there's a pretty good reason why he requested herbs alongside with the small bottles of certain substances.]

You think they did something to your orbment back then...? [He admittedly didn't actually check it himself when he had the chance - not that it would've helped much anyway, considering he hasn't seen Leonhardt's orbment without it being tampered with. But if they really did alter it somehow... he has to wonder what the point of that was supposed to be.]
