[And Milly will be going around, doing the meet and greet, making sure everyone's having a lovely time and making darn sure that they've all tried the cake. Mr Sanji-chan is a MIRACLE WORKER this cake is amazing, okay? And she is going to great pains to make sure that she doesn't drop any of it over her dress; she's not used to wearing something this pretty and fancy, and she's not going to ruin it with a big gloopy lump of cake, even if it is the best cake of all time.]

Hi my name is EXTREMELY LATE >_> mikangirl December 14 2011, 07:13:16 UTC
[Nami has never met you Milly, though she's spoken to you briefly over the journals. She has met Wolfwood, though, and to say she was blindsided over the fact that he got married here is an understatement to say the least. 8|a Therefore, when she finally approaches Milly to at least introduce herself she still hasn't quite lost that air of confusion and wait, what now?

But that's no call to not be polite!]

...hi. Milly, right?

No worries! gunsnpudding December 14 2011, 09:46:01 UTC
[And Milly takes a moment to remember where she's heard this voice before- one piece advice, of course!- and she offers her a nice big smile.]

Oh, are you Miss Nami? You are aren't you, it's so nice to meet you at last!

[BOWLED OVER WITH ENTHUSIASM-- Nami grins, because despite being stuck in Luceti, it's awesome to see people so happy. With... okay, extremely good reason today. |D]

That's me. And congratulations! I missed the whole moon thing, so I guess I missed out on the important part, huh?

Don't worry, a lot of people did! That's why we're having the party now, because we wanted everybody who was important to us to celebrate with us when they weren't worrying about the moon coming down to squish us.

[And then she leans in with a conspiratorial wink:]

...And because he would never have let me throw a party for his birthday otherwise.

People can be so silly sometimes, not wanting to let people celebrate their special days. I love every single birthday I've ever had.

[Leans a little closer to tell her, under her breath]

He's twenty nine, but don't go telling him that I told you. He seems to think that it's embarrassing.

[Grin.] Pirate's honour, I won't say a word. People can get really weird about things like that, can't they? I love my birthday.

[More attention, MORE PRESENTS. RAWR.]

Birthdays are the best, aren't they? When I was little I always used to get far more excited about my brothers' and sisters' birthdays than mine because making a fuss over other people is lots and lots of fun, almost more than being fussed over yourself!

[That and there were so gosh darn many Thompson birthday parties.]

Well, it's fun having friends to fuss over, definitely. I didn't get much of a chance to celebrate birthdays when I was younger, so I make sure I go all out for the ones I have now.

You do? Oh that's wonderful! When's your birthday? I'll have to remember to put it on my calendar for next year so we can throw you a great big party too. Celebrations are very important.

[Party throwing? Unlike certain husband-types, Nami is totally down with this idea.]

3rd of July. When's yours? [Because it's only fair.]
