[What the hell is that racket?

He's highly tempted to stay inside and hopes it go away, but Kouki still get up and leave his apartment.

So it's not on this floor, since it sounds like it's from...upstairs?]

[It is coming from upstairs. And there's the sound of a monkey being punched into the wall as she deals with Gates making a loud shriek and trying to leap towards something else in the kitchen ... a blender?]

What's going on!?

Dealing with my monkey!

[She said as she tried to pin the thing. Which is hard because it has two more arms than her]

[de_bel_survivor]

That's a monkey?!

[Looks more like a demon. He wonders if it would even listen to him. He quickly moves over to try and help her pin the monkey.]

[neoslaying]

Well, actually it's a demon.

,small>[And then he's going to headbutt the thing]

[A demon, huh? Let's see if this works. If it doesn't, well, he'll just look like an idiot.

His blue eyes glow red before speaking in a powerful voice. Speaking as the King of Bel, demon overlord.]

Stand down!

[Gates... does stand down. He starts obediently and curiously at Kouki. Melaka, however, feels a chill down her spine when the voice comes out and whips out her blaster to point at the boy's head]

What was that?

[de_bel_survivor]

[Whoa, whoa, whoa, weird gun thing at his head. His eyes now blue, Kouki raise his hands in the universal gesture of 'I'm innocent!'. He don't know what the gun is capable of, and he doesn't want to risk testing it.]

That thing where he calm down?

[neoslaying]

[She doesn't do stand offs. And this guy, playing Innocent... (maybe he actually is though? The thought crosses her mind, but it feels wrong right now, by her own gut feeling) it reminds her of Harth and that just pisses her off more. Gates might be pacified, but... She decides to be nice, give him five more seconds of hard glaring before she pulls the trigger]

[He just stand there, making no move to dodge or defend himself. But he tense a little when she pull the trigger.]

[neoslaying]

[And she does. Cue blast of lightning/energy which is meant to disable someone and knock them on their back like a bad taser. Also at his face so it might be pretty bright. She mutters "I don't stand off" to herself before (temp blinded by the flash of light) she goes to start to crouch. Most humans would have been on the floor... and lurks too. She figures whatever this guy is he ought to be too but hey, maybe he isn't]

[That blast of energy hit him, making him step back from the attack and...is still standing, blinking. If he have to guess, that'd be about stronger than the lowest elemental spell level. Above Zio, but below Ziodyne.]

[And then she realizes he didn't go down mid-way through the crouch he didn't go down. Wow]

Wanna tell me what you care 'fore we get to Slaying?

[Normally, he'd wonder if that's possible. But then he remember his wings, along with not knowing the full extent of her abilities.]
