Friendly Dinner?

What: A friendly get together for food

Summary: Selphie has Irvine over for dinner to introduce the boyfriend to the best friend.
Rating: We'll see how angry the gunman gets and take it from there?
This month was shaping up to be an excellent one so far. Ceodore's mother had returned, and as bad as that could be given the situation, he was privately thrilled by this. He'd missed her. Not to mention the opportunity to meet a great-uncle he'd only ever heard about and never met, with no hope of it ever happening at home. Yes, so far, things were going well.
Same for Selphie. Ceodore realized she desperately missed her friends and that their departures were harder on her than she wanted to let on. He could be oblivious, but it was obvious how much it'd hurt her. So having one of them return was additional good news. Except for the bit about still being held captive here. But then, maybe that wasn't even all that bad.
He had been sent out to pick up dessert from the bakery while Selphie took care of dinner. Her friend was coming over and she seemed giddy to have them meet face to face. On his return to the apartment, he came bearing one of her favorites, a whipped cream cake with fresh strawberries.
"Selph? I'm back! Where do you want this?"
