Any day up until the 23rd, at least consultmybooks August 18 2011, 19:21:00 UTC
[So...considering that Helios was kidnapped just a very short while ago, and that Buffy is still missing, Giles isn't particularly in the mood to enjoy himself today. He's in the mood to wander the village like a hamster on a wheel until one of his growing list of missing loved ones turns up.

Theme parks in particular are not his beat. He Does Not Do theme parks. Especially not roller coasters. Oh god especially not roller coasters.

Unfortunately, a few of his friends - two ladies in particular - had some other ideas to hopefully cheer him up and take his mind off of bad things. Seriously, you can probably thank Ginia and Grune for getting him this far, although Giles will manage to find excuses or reasons to wander on his own reasonably often. Especially if there are other friends to catch up with.

He makes a point of avoiding any ride that looks too fast - especially the roller coasters and the flume rides - but to his honest surprise, there are things that catch his eye. The street shows, the performances, the haunted house, the hall of mirrors, the Hall of Personas, the food court with all its many, many different sorts of tea...

...okay. Maybe this isn't so bad.

He will probably, admittedly, wind up in Angel's Brooding Corner at some point during the week. Probably because a rigged game cheated him out of a plushie for someone one too many times. He'll be mostly good afterwards.

Every night, once the sun has set, Giles will make the walk back to the village until both Buffy and Helios have been safely found. No hotel for him, unless someone proves impossibly persuasive.]

((ooc: Ignore the fact that Helios hasn't technically been kidnapped yet >_> . Mun has proven a bit too unmotivated to get his backdated post all together.))

Which day should this be, anyway? lostinmyway August 18 2011, 20:11:01 UTC
[Theme parks, however, are definitely Grune's beat. The Legacy was notably short on them (unless you count potentially messing around in Werites Beacon's fountains), and so as far as her memory is concerned, this is a brand new experience for her. There are so many colours and delicious smells, so much movement, so many fun things to do, that she hardly knows what to look at or where to go first. She's certainly going to do her best to try everything at least once, although whether her memory allows her to keep track of what she has and hasn't done is up in the air.

The best part of all? Is getting to spend an entire day with one of her closest Luceti friends and someone else who seems well on her way to earning that designation. With her hand in Giles' as she and Ginia wander about the grounds with him, Grune is very much the picture of delight.]

Three way thread? *she says as she ignores potential thread order* consultmybooks August 18 2011, 20:20:42 UTC
[It might definitely wind up a case of the blind steering the blind - Grune leading Giles to investigate anything that looks new and interesting, and Giles stopping Grune from tripping over or running into any obstacles in their path, most especially people.

And, during those points where it seems at all feasible to attempt to do so, reminding Grune what she has and hasn't done.]

We just passed a place selling cotton candy.

Three-way sounds good! *SHOT BEATEN AND THROWN OFF A CLIFF* shadedsunlight August 18 2011, 22:48:32 UTC
[The timing of the theme park couldn't be any more perfect in Ginia's opinion. It's the perfect thing to provide some much needed excitement and fun in their lives, and being out with two of her friends? It can't get much better. Sure, some improvements could be made - it'd be wonderful if everyone who was kidnapped could be returned - but you took what you could get.

For her part, any sense of a calm decorum is a little out the window as Ginia runs around with more energy and excitement than a 30-year-old should have. That cotton candy? Ginia pops back up with three sticks of fluffy pink cotton candy.]

((ooc; Posting order ideas? Also would Ginia know Helios was kidnapped?

And for the sake of my own sanity and to cut down on HTML, I'm formatting everything with Ginia signing, but she could be writing things down or Giles is translating or something.))

*salts and burns the body* Giles -> Grune -> Ginia? consultmybooks August 18 2011, 22:52:02 UTC
Ah, thank you, Ginia.

[Smiling gratefully, Giles takes two sticks from her, only to pass one to Grune. Grune is proving to have a remarkably strong grip, when she gets it into her head to use it, and he's having enough trouble not getting dragged.]

((ooc: As they walk, Giles is probably translating. During lulls, we can say she's writing?))

Sounds good to me! lostinmyway August 18 2011, 23:04:22 UTC
[Automatically:] Thank you, Ginia!

[Grune then gives the cotton candy a puzzled look. This is something else that was notably short in supply on the Legacy. When she gives it a taste, however, her face lights up.]

Oh, my, this is so delicious!

Good here! shadedsunlight August 18 2011, 23:12:33 UTC
[Ginia nods and smiles, already beginning to munch on her own cotton candy. Little tastes of home, in many ways, though she hasn't been to too many fairs and theme parks in her own life.]

/Where should we go now?/

Somewhere out of the crowds. This is a bit...sticky, isn't it? [Giles is already trying to lick a few stray strands of cotton candy off of the back of his hand.] What about one of the houses? The haunted house, o-or the house of mirrors...no, wait, probably shouldn't, um, probably shouldn't subject ourselves to that, not with food.

[Grune just takes in the side of the conversation she can understand, cheerfully enjoying her cotton candy. She'll be happy to go wherever they decide.]

[Sticky hands, the bane of signers. Ginia tries to keep her hands as clean as possible as she munches away at her cotton candy.]

/I think we should finish eating before tackling anything, but the haunted house sounds like it could be fun. Then the Hall of Personas?/

Yes, the word on the street is that it features vampires. That, um, just happen to sparkle. I admit, this seems to be a classic case of "seeing is believing".

And then the Hall of Personas? Really? Well, I admit, I have overheard some interesting things about it. We can certainly stop by.

[Grune looks up at that.] Oh, should I have brought my urn?

[Vampires are weak to very heavy battle urns, right?]

/Sparkling vampires. That is something that must be seen. Should we also be looking forward to lessons about vampires from you?/ [She teases out of friendship and love, but really. Vampires that sparkle. There's a new one.] /And urn... what?/ [Congratulations, Grune, you actually lost Ginia there. The joys of not having context.]

If you want. The vampires from my world seem to be terribly uncommon in others. Remind me to tell you about Rachel, one day - she could shoot lightning bolts, had excellent taste in tea, and no gardening skills whatsoever.

[This time, Giles gets to lead the way. Just for a change of pace. He does look slightly puzzled at Grune at her question.]

Urn? N-No, um...I think we'll be fine, Grune. Unless you need more space to carry things, which, um, might certainly become necessary.

[Unsurprisingly, she entirely misses their confusion and simply accepts Giles' response.]

Oh, all right.

/I'd love to hear about her sometime./

[Ginia lets Giles take the lead, still in the process of finishing up her cotton candy. Remarkable how she hasn't wolfed it down, but some sense of decorum is needed.

To Grune, Ginia smiles and asks:]

/Is there anywhere you want to go?/
